Dave Watt is my dad.

Hello fellow dads! Everyone is dad… Even girls. You don’t have to have kids to be a dad. Anyways, we have some happening stuff coming up real soon. First off, the new lp from Youwretch is now available. Make sure you download the album or pick one up if you haven’t already. Expect some shows from them this summer as well. Meanwhile, the lovely goth dads in Claps are finishing up recording for their upcoming lp Lies/White Lies which will be hitting the press this month. If you’re down for SXSW this year, make sure to peep their set. Last on our list are those dads in MUCH WORSE. They have some shows coming up including this one with Weekend Nachos. Maybe their album will be done by then. Who knows? I can’t call it. You’ll just have to come to the show and smash, smash, SAAMASH!

Eat This!

First off, the Radiator Hospital records are in! Pick one up from the store right now! Only the first 100 were pressed on acrylic blue. Please don’t email me tears if you’re too late. Second, we are beyond excited to announce that Vancouver’s dreamy punk outfit Eating Out have announced plans to release an upcoming 7″ with us. The band is fronted by Nu Sensae’s Daniel Pitout and also includes Brody McKnight, White Lung front-lady Mish Way and Peace’s Geoff Dembick. In other words, some of the best bands around. Expect something early this summer. Check out the video for Burn off their self-titled cassette from Burger Records. If you watch it less than 10 times you aren’t human. Lastly, expect a new LP from Claps sometime this winter/early spring. Their last release on Moon Glyph was absolutely amazing and I’m sure the next will be just as great.

New Claps Record In The Works

Minneapolis synth/goth-pop band Claps announced plans to release their next record through Forward. These guys/gal embody the romantic feel of bands like New Order and Cocteau Twins while sticking to their own dark and minimalistic style, often resembling more modern acts like Merchandise and Silk Flowers. Please check out their video for Book of Love off the Wreck LP. More details coming soon.

New Radiator Hospital 7-inch

To start off, all the Pity Sex orders have been sent! We are so sorry for the delay. There was a problem at the plant and we tried our best to get them out as fast as we could. That being said, we are very excited for the new Radiator Hospital record Some Distant Moon to finally begin pressing. I just heard the tracks and they are really great! Surprise guests and bubblegum riffs. It makes me feel good that someone else enjoys falling in love, sc-fi, and soda pop as much as I do.

The Pity Sex records are finally done! Whew. I will be sending out all the pre-orders soon after their release show. Sean just informed me this morning that they were approach by Run For Cover Records to put some music out and they agreed. We are so incredibly excited for them! Please check their tour dates and attend a show if possible. They will be playing Minneapolis next week so it’d be rad to see the locals come out.
